Often, I lose perspective of all the great things I achieved because I choose to focus on the negative.

Whilst there has been loss and heartbreak for me this year its fair to say it has been a truly challenging and unsettling year.

I had previously summed it up as awful, but then I went back and really had a look at all that I had accomplished in 2020.

Here are some of my highlights:

Set up a Photography Club for people to get together with a similar interest, to share experiences and technical knowledge to create new compositions.

Supported the Mercy Hub to reach out to the Homeless living out in the streets of Newcastle provide them with coffee and breakfast.

Contacted Justice & Peace Refugees Food Bank and supported with the set-up of the food bank in a new location, and I am hoping to provide additional support early in the New Year.

I have rediscovered my Love of cooking, picking the fresh produce from the Garden.

I have started running twice a week and I hope to increase to three times, with the aim of participating in some local races.

I have enjoyed exploring and photographing some of Northumberland’s beauty spots and I hope to capture more early sunsets and sunrises.

If this is what I do when in Lockdown 2020 imagine what I will achieve in 2021.

I wish you all a Happy, Prosperous & Peaceful New Year.
