We are renowned for peace, tranquility and the feeling of stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life. The first thing our visitors notice when they come up the drive is our awe inspiring avenue of giant redwoods –one of the largest collections in the UK. Our 110 acre estate comprises parkland, ancient woodland, gardens, lakes and walks suitable for all abilities. Here is a map of the estate.
We are easily accessible by car just off the A68 and there are frequent train and bus services to the nearest train station in Riding Mill village. By car we are 40 minutes from Newcastle and 40 minutes from Durham.

For those of you coming from further afield here, below, is our location in the UK. Whether you are coming from the UK or overseas there are good transport links as far as Riding Mill, our nearest rail station. For all your journey planning please use Trainline
We can usually pick visitors up from the railway station or bus stop by prior arrangement. There are regular trains and buses to Newcastle, which connect to East Coast mainline and national bus services. The journey time from London to Newcastle is about 3 hours. In the opposite direction, trains to Carlisle connect to west coast services for visitors from Scotland, Wales and the south west.
Newcastle International Airport is about 40 mins away and with connections to Newcastle train and bus services as above.
