Tynedale Horticultural Service are continuing to work through the lockdown and have based themselves temporarily in the youth centre, which allows for better social distancing. We are working in the grounds, building wooden structures around the trees to protect them from the newly arrived Dexter cattle, splitting wood, kindling for the many fires at Minsteracres, emptying pots of annuals, and tidying up the flowerbeds ready for the Winter.

We are attempting an outdoor socially distanced Christmas play for a small audience, and will let you know how it goes in the next newsletter. We are pleased to still be here on-site offering a service and helping to keep the site looking good for visitors when they return.

Below, Andrew from THS writes about a typical day at the service.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas and Happy New Year.
