An Eco-friendly Experience
‘ We stand at a critical moment in the history of the Earth, an era in which humanity should choose its future: either we form a world alliance to care for the Earth and care for one another, or risk our own destruction and the destruction of the biodiversity of life’ from Letter from the Earth
We at Minsteracres have chosen to try and live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the wider community. Our facilities are homely, but are not en suite (apart from two rooms for disabled people). We use eco-friendly products. We are in the process of becoming self sufficient in fruit, vegetables and eggs.
Our parkland farm and woodland is managed following the environmental sustainability standards set by the farm stewardship schemes managed by Natural England and the Forestry Commission.
The Church of England has just launched its
Shrinking the Footprint
National Environmental Campaign. Lots of ideas on how we as individuals and organisations can become more responsible stewards of our environment including: campaigning, taking action and following good practice.
