Services at St Elizabeth’s Minsteracres

On 20 March 2020 all public services, including Sunday masses, were discontinued at any Roman Catholic church until further notice. This was following guidance from the Catholic Bishop’s Conference published on cbcew.org.uk
Please see the News page for updates, as well as details of live-streamed and recorded masses from Minsteracres and our Partnership parishes.

The parish of St. Elizabeth started in 1765 when the Silvertop family established the ‘Minsteracres Mission’ and a first priest was appointed with responsibility for the pastoral care of the family and the catholics in the surrounding area. Since then it developed to what it is now: a vital and vibrant faith community with active participation in the liturgy and other dimensions of parish life. The parishioners try to be a living sign of the Kingdom of God in this part of the world. There are a variety of groups for justice and peace, music and liturgy, and journey of faith. In 2015, the parishioners celebrated 250 years of faith and mission at St Elizabeth’s.
