Thanks in large part to the generosity of our parishioners, the retreat house fund has grown to around £70,000 and we hope to be starting phase two of the three-phase development before Christmas.

Local builders Hodgson Sayers are poised to begin work and all being well the much needed new bathrooms on the first floor will be ready in time for next spring’s visitors.

Of course that is not the end of it and we still need a considerable sum to bring the accommodation up to modern standards. However, with the installation of the much needed lift earlier this year and better bathing facilities this winter, we hope that visitors will recognise the commitment we are making to make their stay more comfortable.
