Margo Mooney has joined the team as retreat centre administrator. No stranger to Minsteracres, Margo has been a parishioner for around ten years and a member of the parish social committee, which she now chairs, for almost as long.

A Scot, she and her husband, BBC weatherman Paul Mooney, moved south 19 years ago with their daughter Katie. Sons Kevin and Joseph were both born since their move to Prudhoe.

For the past nine years Margo has worked as an administrator for children’s services at Gateshead Council managing both the children’s centres and youth work admin teams.

“I miss my old team,” she says, “but I have absolutely no regrets about moving to Minsteracres. The atmosphere here is lovely, and it’s such a treat coming up the drive to work every day!”
